Duties may include assisting with daily farm operations, including operating farm equipment, trucks, and tractors for planting, spraying, and harvesting crops; cleaning and maintaining machinery and equipment; handling and hauling grain and other farm commodities; and maintaining farm grounds, including mowing. Duties also include assisting with finishing hogs, completing barn chores, and loading trucks for market-weight hogs. Employees will assist with cattle operations including preconditioning and general care, monitoring calving, feeding and watering cattle, mixing feed, monitoring herd health, administering vaccinations, cleaning pens, maintaining fences, hauling manure, and hauling cattle to market. Employees may operate feed trucks and payloaders. Crops include corn and soybeans.

Minimum Experience Required
The position requires a minimum of three (3) months of related work experience. The worker must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States within three (3) days of hire. The worker must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to sixty (60) pounds, with possible two-person lifting. The job requires the ability to perform physically demanding work including climbing, walking, standing, reaching, balancing, sitting, stooping, bending, squatting, washing, and cleaning equipment, grounds, and work areas. The worker must be able to work in variable and extreme weather conditions and perform repetitive movements. A valid U.S. driver's license must be obtained within two (2) weeks of reporting to work and the worker must maintain a clean motor vehicle record and must be able to speak/communicate in English. The worker must be able, willing, and qualified to perform the work described and be available for the entire period of employment.

Additional Compensation
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
