Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Bagging groceries at checkout for customersStriving for at least five items in the bag while ensuring that contents or items are not damagedFollowing best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable/plastic/paper)Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkoutOffering to help customers with loading bags into their carPerforming basic shelf conditioningInforming customers of grocery specialsReturning merchandise to store shelvesGathering bascarts and returning them to designated areasCleaning spills, collecting and picking up trash inside store and parking lotCleaning all areas inside and outside of storeHandling and assembling seasonal merchandiseUnderstanding the store's layout, locating products, and conducting price checks for cashiersReinforcing safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues and notifying store managementAdhering to all food safety regulations and guidelinesPracticing preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repairCreating an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the storeAdhering to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelinesAbility to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environmentAbility to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative mannerAbility to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business informationAbility to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issuesProviding support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adultsMust be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationQualificationsMinimum Position Qualifications:Customer Service skillsEffective communication skillsDesired Previous Job Experience:Retail Experience is preferred but not necessary
