  • Position: Inpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Travel assignment
  • Setting: Inpatient, Long Term Care / Rehab (physical therapy, rehabilitation)
  • Employment Type: Travel Therapy Job
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Shift: Days, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts (start time between 6AM and 10AM; flexible with Director of Rehab)
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,290 - $1,380 (travel PTA pay)
  • Location: Kerrville, TX 78028 - Texas Hill Country
  • On-Call / Weekends: No call, no weekends required
Job Requirements / Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings
  • Active, unrestricted PTA license in the state of Texas
  • Current resume / work history
  • Completed skills checklist (within 1 year of submission)
  • Professional references and license verification
Responsibilities - Inpatient Physical Therapy (PTA)
  • Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions and skilled rehabilitation services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, gait training/ambulation, functional mobility training, and assistive/supportive device training
  • Use therapeutic modalities and adaptive equipment as part of individualized treatment plans
  • Assess patient progress, document treatment minutes, and report outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Consult and counsel patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members regarding physical disorders and rehab goals
  • Maintain accurate regulatory and clinical documentation in the facility electronic documentation system (EMR)
  • Participate in required meetings, in-services, trainings, and conferences
  • Support and supervise students as assigned under the guidance of the Physical Therapist
  • Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, professional code of conduct, and ethics
