Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Location: Fairfax, VA 22030 Shift: Standard Shift Duration: Long Term Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Disorder (SUD). This role will lead and manage the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, providing comprehensive care to patients with opioid use disorder using medications such as Suboxone. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program Diagnose and treat patients with substance use disorders, particularly opioid use disorder Prescribe and manage MAT medications (e.g., Suboxone) Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Provide ongoing behavioral health care and medication management Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care Minimum Qualifications (Required) Master s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution Completion of a state-certified Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner program Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or equivalent Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (LNP) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia Valid and unrestricted DEA license in Virginia (required by date of hire) Experience treating patients with Opioid Use Disorder using medication-assisted treatment Preferred Qualifications Prior experience managing or leading a MAT program Strong background in addiction medicine and behavioral health
