Note: This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in-office attendance in Bellevue, WA.

The Senior Business Strategist in TFB Revenue Analytics reports to the Senior Manager and is crucial in identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth across T-Mobile for Business. This role entails leading intricate, driver-based analyses across TFB products and segments, supporting weekly variance reporting against the TFB revenue forecast, and developing insights and business cases for potential revenue growth opportunities.

The successful candidate will collaborate with acquisition, retention, product, and marketing/sales operations teams to identify and size initiatives while sharing actionable insights with senior leaders. You will deliver rigorous, quantitative revenue analysis to guide product and channel strategies and facilitate data-driven decision-making across TFB.

Your responsibilities will include communicating with senior executives and business team counterparts, clarifying how the revenue profiles of various products and segments are performing relative to commitments throughout specific timeframes. By examining inflows, outflows, renewals, and base rate plan migrations, you will understand performance drivers, variances from expectations, and the impact on future revenue forecasts.

This position works closely with business partners and data teams on a portfolio of revenue-focused analytical priorities. You'll independently lead complex workstreams, condensing findings into significant strategic implications and translating quantitative insights into actionable recommendations that shape product and channel strategies. Proactively identifying emerging risks and opportunities is essential, and you will frame trade-offs for leadership while delivering high-quality outputs that materially impact T-Mobile's success.

The role supports business growth by detecting market opportunities and assessing competitive trends within business development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform complex analyses, and develop strategic recommendations for key business decisions, integrating financial modeling and executive communication to shape organizational strategy effectively.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic projects that analyze business challenges and deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop financial and market models to support decision-making and evaluate growth opportunities.
  • Synthesize complex data into clear, concise presentations for executive audiences.
  • Identify and communicate market and competitor trends to inform organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies and drive business initiatives.
  • Manage preparation for key organizational events, such as earnings calls and board meetings.
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned by management.
Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree with 5 years of related experience (Required).
  • Degrees in Business, Management, Economics, Statistics, or related fields (Required).
  • 7-10 years in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or similar roles involving quantitative analysis and executive presentation skills (Required).
  • Less than 2 years of experience in B2B, Product Strategy, and/or Telecom sectors (Preferred).
  • 4-7 years of strategy and problem-solving experience, framing complex problems and providing data-driven recommendations (Required).
  • 4-7 years of financial modeling and analytics expertise, including conducting complex data analysis (Required).
  • Less than 2 years of project management experience, independently managing projects and engaging stakeholders (Preferred).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strategic Proficiency: A proactive problem solver adept at deconstructing ambiguous problems using a hypothesis-driven approach. (Required)
  • Business Acumen: In-depth understanding of business models, pricing strategies, and channel management; analytical proficiency and comfort triangulating data to estimate market sizes and build financial models. (Required)
  • Financial Analysis: Ability to construct financial models and perform qualitative analysis, including sensitivity analysis; proficient in interpreting income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. (Required)
  • Communication Skills: Capacity to synthesize analysis into succinct, executive-ready communications with clarity and structure. (Required)
  • Critical Thinking: Enjoys tackling complex issues with curiosity and resourcefulness. (Required)
  • Team Collaboration: A team player skilled at working with others to resolve challenges and achieve alignment. (Required)
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Travel:

Travel may be required.

Base Pay Range: $129,700 - $234,000; Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The stated pay range reflects what a successful candidate can expect to earn. Actual compensation will depend on numerous factors, including location, qualifications, and experience.
