Core Responsibilities:

  • Safety Program Management: Lead comprehensive safety programs through data analysis. Conduct daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments while implementing innovative solutions to prevent injuries.
  • Training and Development: Deliver engaging safety training that resonates with associates and cultivates a proactive safety culture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives that enhance workplace safety while ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Advocacy and Leadership: Serve as a trusted safety advisor and advocate for employee wellbeing, building strong partnerships across various organizational levels.
  • Behavioral Change: Foster a culture where safety is a shared priority through strong communication, coaching, and positive reinforcement.
  • Data Storytelling: Transform safety data into compelling stories that inspire engagement in safety initiatives.

Additional Job Elements:

  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently engage in physical activities such as pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and squatting.
  • Ability to stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
  • Willingness to work in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures (especially at delivery stations with outdoor loading areas).
  • Ability to navigate stairs (where applicable).
  • Capability to provide care during emergencies and assist in site emergency response.

You must be available to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and/or weekends. If you do not have adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from a recognized organization, you must obtain it within 3 weeks of your start date.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
  • A minimum of 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant area OR
  • 6 months of experience in a safety-related role within Amazon.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding security and workplace personal matters.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in workers' compensation case management.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety-related field.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, judgment, and customer focus skills.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to analyze accident data, processes, and machinery for safety concerns.
  • Emergency response experience with current First Aid and CPR certifications.

The base salary range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00 per hour. Your compensation package will also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including your experience, qualifications, and location.
